Mendoza
Not only is Mendoza a fun word to say, it is also an amazingly charming and relaxed wine town in Argentina.
What do you do when you are an English teacher waiting for your job to start and you have a dismal amount of cash left to your name? Obviously, you go wine tasting. Just catch the bus to Maipu a small wine town outside of Mendoza for about 2 pesos, then rent a bike from Senor Hugo (the local bike rental dude), and you are on your way my friend. Nothing but wine roads as far as the eye can see. Cheap delicious wine and bikes. This is the perfect place to relish unemployment.
